Looked at a 01 X-Star last weekend - interested in buying the boat. Great condition - except for one little thing I am looking for some input on. I noticed (again - looking to buy I was looking at the boat under a microscope) - a small area (about 6"-7" in length and 3" high) on the hull (above water line when planing - below it when slow) that was "wavy". It didn't appear to be blistering - just a small section that was not as smooth as the rest of the hull. Didn't think about it too much until I got home - but now I'm wondering if it's is just a slight manufacturing imperfection or something more serious. 99 times out of 100 I proabably wouldn't have noticed it - but you know how it is when you are looking at something used. Anyone have a similiar condition on their boat?

I'm not a gelcoat expert.. but, it's prob. an area where the gelcoat stuck to the mold and had to be repaired. You'll find the same thing on every boat on the market if you look close enough. They just don't come out of the mold perfectly most of the time.
