I went out on the boat the other day with 10 people in my response (I know, only rated for 8) plus 250lbs of lead, gear, and the wedge. I had a real hard time getting on a plane. I have a 365hp hammerhead engine, but the boat was originally built for a professional slalom skier. So I am sure the prop is for higher speeds. What is the best pitch for a prop for wakeboarding. Also, 3 blade or 4 blade?

I'd go with 4-blade. What is the diameter and pitch of the prop you have now? Your best bet would be to call or email ACME props or OJ props and get their recommendation. You'll want to let them know:
1. your current prop specs
2. engine horsepower,
3. boat length and approximate weight
4. amount of ballast,
5. current WOT RPMS and top speed,
6. engine manufacturers recommended WOT rpms,
7. how you use the boat.

This info is needed to make a meaningful recommendation. Without it, its just pure speculation.

my 150hp boat pulls me up a lot faster with a 17 pitch 3 blade compared to a 19, but loses some top-end speed, as in the 35-40 zone its pushin the rpm's. i don't need or care for the top-end speed though, so i prefer the 17 for my riding. but thats just on my tiny 150hp boat.

I love my Acme 3-blade 10.5 pitch! No top speed at all... but comes out of the hole like a hot damn!

'06 wakesetter VLX,

stock ballast (1250)
2 extra sacks in the rear trunks (800-900)
400 in lead in the nose/mid

I replaced prop that came with it with an acme 1235.
It was a dog out of the hole and that has completely become a thing of the past.

It high sided and was impossible to break without straightening out, now you can throttle through if you get it up on the side in a turn.

It holds speed at about 100 less RPMs than before for the same speeds.

I lost a few MPH off the top end, but we almost never use the boat for skiing, and even when we do it's not anyone who needs to be flying or barefooting.

No wedge, lovin it!
Monsoon 340 HP (I may be off on the HP, going from memory)

if that boat has a 1:1 tranny i think the acme 543 would be the one!

I'm thinking about re-propping too. About how much does a new Acme 4-blade cost?

I dont need any top end speed. The fastest my boat goes is 35 (It will do 55 if you push it). That is only to get to our riding spot. Wakeboarding we go about 22-24

I would go with an Acme 3 blade prop. The new 3 blade props have a lot more surface area so you don't need to get a 4 blade. I would get either the acme 525 (13x11.5) or the 515(?) (13x10.5) obviously the 13x10.5 will have less top end but from what I have heard it will give you one heck of a hole shot!

When I called Acme and told them my boat and what weight I run ( Malibu Sunsetter LXi 325 HP and 1500lbs. + wedge) he told me to get the 13x10.5 but I went with the 13x11.5 cause I still like to ski (shhhh) every now and then.

Thanks Patrick, that was the answer I was looking for.

I thought the 525 was better than the 515. I think the Sangers come stock with the 515 and people are upgrading to the 525 for a better hole shot with more ballast.
