Looking at a Hifonics BXi 1606D and a Memphis 16-PRD1000.1. Which is the better amp. I've narrowed it down to these two due to space issues. I need a truely 1 ohm stable amp that will deliver at least 1000 rms but am very limited on space so JL, ARC, Zapco, won't work. Any advice on these two amps.

The Memphis is a good amp. We use them a lot and have had no problems. Good power and clean sound.

if you are looking for a "true" 1 ohm sub amp - mmatts will do the job..they have amps designed to run .5, 1, 2, and 4 ohm loads..

ultra high end, small footprint, and reasonably priced..

Hey chas how do you think the memphis will push a couple of 12w6's? Have you ever seen a birth sheet for one, do they produce the full rms rated power?

It will do fine on the w6's. It will put out a min of 1100 watts @ 1 ohm
