Looking to upgrade my 99 Air Nautique. I'm partial to Nautiques but get the impression that they are not good for surfing. Thinking of a 210, 2006 and later because of change to LH prop rotation. I'm reg foot. I know the 230 ain't bad but they are out of my price range. Are these 210s any good for surfing? I also want to wakeboard so wake quality is important. Anyone have pics of what a 210 can do?

I ride on an 09...the surf wave is bad w out extra ballast. Even then its been a pain in the butt trying to dial it in with an extra 500-600 lbs. im interested to hear if others have had success and what they use.

Yeah I agree. I also run an 09 210 and even with extra weight its hard to get a nice consistent surf wave. But to me one of the best wakeboard wakes.

I just test drove an 08 210 today. Needing to replace a boat for our summer surf and wakeboard program.

Driver, Me (130lbs), wife (115lbs), my two kids (110lbs total), stock ballast 200+ in the rear locker, belly full (500lbs), and an extra 400lbs in the back locker.

I was unable to get in the water since I am battling the flu or something but the wave "looked" amazing with very little lean. Very clean, good length. Yeah it's not the tallest or longest but it compared to my 20' Tige' that we sold.

We are looking at a 2013 but the dealer said the hull is still the same after 2007.

BTW, the wakeboard wake... looked very nice! Can see why they say it's one of the best.

I've test drove and ridden in a ton of boats in the last 2 months. Nothing has the fit and finish of the Nautique. They've thought of absolutely everything. I really wish I had the money for a 230 but maybe a few years from now.

Yeah Im not exactly sure the year. I believe it was 11 and newer they changed the platform shape so it definitely improved the surf wake from my model.

Thanks Greg for mentioning my boat that is for sale. I also have it listed here in classifieds. I dont have any decent pics of the Port side wave but here is a shot of the goofy wave factory ballast plus 375lbs of people in the corner and 300 in ski locker at 11 mph. We surf the Port side with 1200 lbs in corner at 11.2 and it is sweet. Needless to say the wakeboard wave is awesome!

If surfing is your main objective, look at my Tige 24V in the classifieds.

we bought our 08 210 for wake boarding (my kids) and more room from what we had, but a couple summers ago we borrowed a wakesurfer and my younger son and I have been hooked ever since.

boat has factory+750 in port, fac at half on starb, 200+ under port side seat, fac belly and front arrow sac full, 200lbs of lead we use for adjustments. 2 people in the boat.

this is when we only had 400lbs in the port and 3 in the boat.

You can go to Tige' MyWake videos and check out Samuel Girard... According to his profile he is riding behind a 2012 210. Wave looks clean and good length.

@Cole. When surfing on the port side, is that 1200 all in the locker or is any on the seat?

I had 750 plumbed in on top of the 300 factory tank and then filled a 450 on top of port seat. If I end up keeping the boat, I plan to remove the hard tank on port side and replace it with a 1450 Enzo Sac to avoid having anything on the seats. I have done some preliminary measuring and think it will fit nicely. When I have had some extra passengers, which is rare, there was no need to use the 450. Good luck with your search!!
