So, I bought a 1990 Sport Nautique and it has dual captains chairs up front. Personally, I would much rather have the traditional lift up observer seat on the "passenger's" side because you loose a lot of storage w/ the current set-up and it's just takes up more room.

So, am I going to have to build a 'normal' observer seat from scratch, or can I make another one work? Has anyone ever done this? I looked at a '90 ski nautique and it's observer seat would cover the walk through opening to the open bow. :-(

Any suggestions?

I've stole some pics of someone else's boat w/ the same setup.
