I have to chime in here...
I would think that the ones that Matt (Supraman) just posted woudl be one of the better alternatives.
- Easy to add to a box
- Easy to Mount to tower/Pylon
- Single person operation for most boxes
- Cheap/Lightweight/Stong/Proven in Industry

Any other thoughts???

The pro-clamp on the following page is more expensive but looks more rugged and will fit 2" pipe.

Fluidconcepts sells clamp that fit your exact tower size. Then just match the bolt pattern. http://www.fluidconcepts.net

I have to recommend the ones from Prowerks as well http://www.chassisshop.com/npbm.html

I used them on my tower speakers and they worked great. They fit snug. I get no movement even though I fold my tower each time I use it.

Here's a few photos with the tower folded down.

Jeff,

Those look really good. I love the pro-werks products and have some on my desk now for some of my future projects. How did you attach them to the cans?

Bill, Thanks for the compliment.

I had to replace the bolts that came with the clamps with longer ones. I drilled a hole through the PVC and put a washer, lock washer, and bolt on there. Then I tightened them up.

The only thing about this is you have to mount the can on the tower, then put the speaker in. But, it works really well. The Pro-werks fit great and look great too. I get no movement at all.

I'm working on some instructions with some photos for your http://www.diytowers.com site. I'll e-mail them to you when I get done.
