Thanks for all the "how to" tips. Kind of fun. Post them up if you shot them.

ok so this was my first attempt and I learned SO much on what not to do next time :-) The show I went to was in a small town in Georgia and I think they were in the learning process too. The show started WAY before dark and some of the fireworks BARELY cleared the ground. Let me know what you guys think and what I can do different next time!

I know I need to plan better and not end up under trees that show up in EVERY shot. None of these have been cropped or edited in any way other than resizing.

The finale... with TONS of smoke. Still thought it was a cool shot.

Jessica - Those are money! I actually prefer those over just your black background shots. Very well framed. Thanks for sharing! I like the 2nd and last the best.

jessica, 1st fireworks shot is awesome! if only people's heads weren't in the shot, it'd be perfect!

Thanks guys. I'm still learning so much about my camera. It feels good to hear praise from people on this sight. I check the photography thread more than the general discussion because I love seeing what you all can do.

Jessica, nice work. Really like shot #2. They keep getting better as it gets darker.

Bakes never seen them shot with a fish before, crazy perspective.

Here's a few of mine. I had a real bad location for the fireworks, but it still came out alright.

Here are 2 from my first attempt. I know I need a better location but the one I scouted earlier in the week was blocked off by the city that evening.
