So I am at lake Naciemento and my friends want me to try an invert. I feel like a tantrum is the one to go for. I cut at the wake and try to flip, but I get half way around and stop. I figured it wasn't the day for a tantrum after several more attempts and I wasn't riding at my best. Next on my list is a TS FrontRoll, I go for this several more times, but am consistently landing with heels hitting the water first and than my butt. Any help?

Try to take the tantrum up off the wake, then over, keep looking for the landing. You may start the rotation, then stop it by turning your head back, maybe getting ready to fall. With the frontroll, think about pushing your hips forward just as you come off edge at the top, then when you release roll forward, both hands on the handle until you can spot your landing, at that point, drop your back hand and tug the handle to your front hip to get ready for landing, land on edge. First few try to over rotate them, this will give you a good idea of how much to throw the roll. Have you considered trying a backroll?? That's another common one to start on. Don't forget about spins either, just as rewarding as those inverts. good luck

thanks patrick
I haven't tried a backroll yet, but have been thinking about trying it. Last year I tried a HL backside 3, and could get the rotation almost every time, I just missed the handlepass. I would have tried it wrapped, but my handle doesn't have what you hold onto with your front hand.

agreed. Frontside 3's, although a bit more mentally challenging (more spinning involved...) are a lot easier, I would say. The landing is just way more natural.

Dont learned stuff wrapped. learn to pass, then learn the wrap.
