Floating Slider

I live on a private lake where it would be impossible to ever build a permanent slider. My friends and I were talking about building a floating one that we could tow into position and anchor at both ends. I am pretty sceptical of how stable the slider will be. Obviously as soon as you ollie onto it, it will sink somewhat throwing off your balance. In addition to that, if you get it too high off the water it would have a tendency to tip side to side, unless it had a really wide base. Then there is the problem with boat waves moving it out of position by the time you come around to hit it. I am just wondering if this is actually practical and if anyone has had success with floating sliders before.

Damn, that's a nice rainbow. What'd you use for the sides and what'd you float it with?

I made a flat box out of two pontoons form a hobie cat and used anchors with bungie cords to hold it in place. It worded out pretty well and was very easy to move.

The sides are galvanized steel and we floated it with foam blocks.
