After a few years of poaching my friends winch its time to finally build my own. I have been searching high and low for a "how to guide" that I saw a few years back. I think it was on www.winchskating.com but I cannot seem to locate that "how to." It was basically a list of every single part you need to buy to get this thing built.

I have a 8hp Briggs and Straton and 10hp Kawasaki that I can use. I actually am thinking of building two at once.

Any one have any info on the build? Dimensions on the frame, key parts needed, etc. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I know there have been a few threads on these but I thought I would start fresh.

dont use a metal roller fairlead. get a synthetic roller fairlead.. the metal rollers will wear out the rope faster then a synthetic. (yes even with coated ropes)

thats my $.02
