Anyone else have a problem with chipping the tips of your boards transporting them to and from the boat or setting them down/storing them vertically? Board fumbles in and out of the rack etc..

Whats the best way to repair a nose chip? or how much should it cost at a shop?

Is this common?

Quite grabbin for your board after pounding down a bag of Lays. Go for the Pringles man, no greasy mess!!

I transport mine in a board bag to/from the lake, but it still has a few chips on the edge. I think they are from the board racks where I missed the holder and hit the metal.

It doesn't affect the riding at all, so I haven't done anything about it.

Get a repair kit with resin and some sheets of fiber glass and just follow the instructions. Your shop should carry them and it shouldn't cost you more than $20.

I dont take care of my boards. They all get chips in them. I suggest going to the hardware store and buying a 2 part expoy. You can use a marine resin and pigment to match colors but the Epoxy seams to work better and doesn't look bad.

Just use the 2 part epoxy like Spencer said. I've fixed tons of chips using this stuff. Works fine and it blocks the water.

I use a mixture of vagasil and baking soda...

Who cares? Hit sliders everyday and throw your board around on the dock...it's way more fun than trying to keep it minty fresh...and chicks dig scratched up boards.

Sorry, no vagasil on hand. Maybe you can lend me some.
