Regardless of what happens on Tuesday (although an Obama win would probably be something of an accelerant, with the GOP hopefully moving back to the center and away from the crazies a bit) what do people think about the shifting demographics in Texas? While I think the people calling it a 2016 swing state are crazy, I also think the Republicans will be in a fight there by 2024. Curious what others think and how it shakes things up.

the more illegals that settle into our state, the bluer it will get.

I know several repubs that don't vote now, because they don't feel that it really matters

perhaps repubs will turn out in greater numbers when the bright red turns to purple
