I have an 1999 Mastercraft X-star.
Im thinking about building a box to fire down, and place it under the rear seat. has anyone done this.

How did it sound compared to in the storage behind the judge seat,

if you do make sure you have a vent so that the bass can escape under the seat.

Give yourself at least 3inch from the floor to the woofer. It sould sound good.

I don't think you can possibly have room under the rear seat to put a sub at all, let alone a down firing one. Do you have a vdrive xstar or the older 98 direct drive?

Some subs are not recommended in downfiring orientation, check the owners manual or box builders guide.
