Lake Powell in FIVE Days!!

Heading up to Powell for the first time in three years and cant wait! I hear the water is slowly coming up and just a few feet away from opening up the main channel coming out of Wahweap.

Anyone else heading up this friday??

I'm so jelous, we were in last chance about 3 years ago and had great water and no storms, best trip we've ever had at Powell. Wish you the same, Have fun!

Where did you hear that the channel was "almost" open? I heard they have been using it for a couple of weeks?

Last Chance is a great canyon, we'll be there in 3 weeks.

Went in 05, incredible place.
The channel wasnt open then, so the trip to last chance was loooong, but well worth it.

We just got back last Saturday after a great week. The Castle Rock short-cut around Antelope Island is still about a few weeks from being useable. The weather had been perfect and should be good for you. Gas is $4.30 at Dangling Rope and $4.10 at Antelope Marina. Have a good time. The traffic on the lake seemed less than usual.

we went last summer over the 4th... 2 65' house boats, 2 boats, 6 js ... stayed in a cove across from dangling rope marina ... we stopped in Mesquite, bought fire works ( 200 mortors )...had a fantastic time... enjoy

I will be there on the 28th. Unfortunately we will not have a good wakeboard boat. Bayliner. ugggg. Oh well, I don't care if I even have to throw it behind the houseboat! Haha! Have fun.
