OK, The decision has been made with a lot of input from posts on this board and research. Appreciate all the feedback. Here's what I'm looking at for add ons, PP, Depth Meter, Docking Lights, Tower, Tower Lights, Board Racks, Fiberglass SS, Pop up cleats, bimini, cover, extreme trailer. Dealer MSRP approx 56,360. I have absolutely no idea on boat markup. Recently bought a WW Toy Hauler 05 and got it for almost 25% off MSRP. If I start there on a boat will they be checking me for blood alcohol levels?

25% off MRSP on that boat with those options?

to answer your question, ya they will be checking

That boat with those options, would probably be a couple grand less then that, OUT THE DOOR

You're going to be hard pressed to get that boat for under 55K here in SoCal. I priced out basically the same boat minus tower lights and depth meter and was quoted 55K out the door (tax lisence included) from Paradise. And that was supposedly the "Boat Show Discount". Still, awesome boat for 55K.

Looks for around 10% of MSRP, you will be able to get closer to the 10% toward boat show season, this is still early. You could find a good deal on an '03, but the '05s, especially with the items listed at this point in time will be pricey.

Jacqui, 8-10 percent off MSRP on that boat would be very fair considering it is a new model and the demand is pretty high on it from what my local dealer tells me. I saw the new VLX last week and that boat is sweet. Congratulations.

I am such a miser when it comes to big purchases. I will go back and forth a dozen or more times if I think it's going to save me any cash. I'm guessin this dealer is going to be glad to see the last of me...

If you want to play around with pricing out Malibu's, there's a sweet pricing configurator on http://www.smoothwatersports.com.

(fwiw, Supra will let you do this right on their web site.)

My experience has shown that boat pricing is very seasonal. As the season ends and through winter, you'll get a better price. Like a dummy, I bought mine at peak season, argh. But I did get to use it all summer, so no worries. :-)

Micah,

Is the link correct - doesn't seem to work for me.
