If anyone has plans for Bullards Bar this weekend you'd better check as a small fire has now turned into a big one and all camgrounds were evacuated around 6PM tonight. As of now it's virtually at the dam!

This sucks. I was just there last weekend. One of my favorite places to go. Sucks for anyone camping there, all the campgrounds are under mandatory evacuations.

I was camping there last weekend too. There was also a fire there last friday (20th) that closed Marysville Rd, but didnt spread too much i guess due to lack of wind. And to think i almost booked our trip this weekend instead of last...lets hope for the best..

We were originally going to be there this weekend as well. I saw the fire last week as well on our way to the lake. I was relieved when they had it out so quick. I would like to know the casue of these fires. Seems suspicious that a fire started last friday and now another one this friday in the same area.

You can see the CalFire fire map here as well as updates: http://yubanet.com/nevada/Bullards.php

851 acres last tally and still growing with zero containment. Really sucks it does.

Thanks Razzman ... original planed to head-up there today. That's why I like this site; for the most part it's good people and good information. Let's all hope for some more good weeks/weekends for skiing, riding, and boating before the weather is like this for the rest of the year.

The marina just posted on FB that the fire burned around the marina and parking areas, all is safe for now but everthing is shutdown and all roads closed indefinately. They haven't mentioned the campgrounds yet. Last night, looking towards the dam i believe.
