Had my first wakesurfing set this weekend. It was awesome. I bought a new Inland Surfer Red Woody and finally got a chance to use it. We found a quick start like you are pulling a wakeboarder was the easiest way to get up. I am still trying to dial the speed in but got some slack in the rope a couple times. Ran my first 5 sets without ballast to get used to the board, then ballasted the left rear of the boat with 520 lbs (400 water, 120 lbs in kids).
I found 11-12 mph shaped the wake the best. It's nice being close enough to the boat to tell them if I want it faster or slower.
