Water was 52 and the air was 70 this past weekend in SW Colorado. And the fisherman thought they had the water all to themselves!

I will ride in any water temp as long as the air temp is 70+. Lakes are still froozen up here but should be able to get out in about 2 weeks or less.

Rode Sunday at 67 (air) and 59 (water). Wetsuit was a must.

If you hang them up to dry instead of leaving them in a wet pile in the back of your car they wont stink. But thats still freezing, you guys are rugged.

Ah sure take out july and august and that's our summer over here. Still rocking 2:1's though. Can't stand when people say 65 is too cold or any rubbish like that. No wetsuit though, that's taking some b@lls there

You should title that pic "grapes to raisins" My 1st and only set of the year so far was 43/63 with a 3/2 fullsuit not my favorite ride so far but it was worth it.

I know. It was just a play on words from the famous Blazing Saddles quote,

Lets just say it looked like I had two adams apples in my throat for about 10 minutes after I got out, until things 'dropped' back into place.

My last ride of last season was similar, about 50/70 with just a heater top... And my two friends were just trunks. A little shock when you get in but quickly forget about it when you're riding. I figure it's incentive not to fall. Should be out riding by the end of the month when the river gets up to 50*, but this year I have a full 4/3 suit so should be toasty warm!
