What would you say if you had to choose between the 2. Had 08 Ones and they were hard to get in and out of - has Ronix changed this?

Ronix's boots from '09 have really put them in the upper echelon of bindings in my opinion. Lighter, better constructed, better fitting AND closer to the board. I have the '09 Cells and I just put them on dry. Piece of cake. Not an issue at all. They also changed how the liner is organized which may contribute to an easier time getting in as well. Ronix has it dialed man.

+1 for the Ronix ones. I picked up the 09's last year and love them. super light, comfy and heat moldable.

Watson for sure.... they're great boots

... but I've always had bad luck with Ronix boots, so I'm bias

I love my 08 ones. Definitely easier to get into and out of dry, but not hard getting out of when wet much at all.

The other day I tried on some 09 Limited LF shanes at a local shope for kicks and giggles, and I hated how they supported my foot. I have pretty thin feet for my size and I had a ridiculous amount of heel lift in them. Granted, they probably loosen up over time but i couldn't get them to wrap well around my foot at all. Made me realize how much I love my ronix bindings.

Still, nothing has ever fit me (right out of the box) as well as my 06 watsons did.

I say ronix

Ronix for sure. I have never put anything on my feet like what Ronix has created. They fit better than most of my tennis shoes.

Six of one...
I like Ronix, but thats just brand preference, I'm pretty sure Watson does alright in his boots. You probably wont regret it either way.

Any difference between them on how well they cushion the landings?

I'd say soft landings isn't something really noticeable between bindings.. The board and how it breaks up the water on impact is probably 90% of how soft your landing will be and 10% the binding padding.

I'm a big watson fan. I've had models from 2006 and 2008, and recently purchased the 2010 limiteds. I've ridden for about 5 hours in the limiteds, and absolutely love them. There is absolutely no heel lift, the landings are soft, and the bindings are comfortable. Also, the new quick lace system is really slick.
