Ok guys, need some help. I'm looking at getting an x2 ss or vtx with an aluminum trailer and flush kit. The x2 is 57,000 and the vtx is 52,000. I'm leaning towards the x2 because I'll be riding in brackish and fresh water and also because I believe it will be worth more in 3-4 yrs. What do you guys think?

Bryan, There is more to a X2SS than just a flush kit and galvy trailer.

I am biased, but the X2SS will be worth more and hold up much better in the long run. MC's saltwater series is pretty good.

much more to the ss package than you think. will be worth considerably more in the long run, not a mc vs bu thing, but because of all the SS stuff.

Thanks guys, I was leaning towards the x2 as well. What about the price? 08 brand new boat. 57K. Good deal? The only thing it's missing is tower speakers. I've attached some pics as well.

57K seems to be a good deal. They use to be a lot more than that. You might be able to get a few more bucks off, and have him add in some tower speakers. Boats have come down in price due to no body buying, your in a buyers market and can get crazy deals if you do some shopping. Looks like a sweet boat and I agree on the SS package, it will be worth it in the long run. I wanted the XStar in the SS package just to got to the Keys once a year, just could not afford it, but sure do wish I had it. Went to the Keys last year and did not take the new Xstar so I wouldn't be tempted to put it in the salt water. Man that was so hard sitting on dry land with glass out there calling my name.

That sounds like a good price for a new 2008 SS X2. What motor is in it? Looks like you need to have them throw in a tower mirror arm.

Nice looking x-2. I always like the Med. blue. I have had 2 x-2's and I can say it was a great, great boat.
