i just bought a Hyperlite Movement 2004 140, and it says that it comes with (one fin for beginners) and (one fin for more advanced riders) or something.....does this mean the board has ONE fin??? please let me know .....its on mailorder

I think (and hope) they mean sets of fins. the beginner fins will be taller, giving you more grip. advanced will be shorter, making the board more slippery. I had an 04 byerly with 4 molded fins and .8's in the middle of the tip/tail. I took them off and loved it. Seems easier to recover on a not-so-perfect landing. I've never heard of hyperlite sending 1 of each fin... Try them both (start with the big ones). its just a different feel. If you can edge well and have pretty good control, go with the small ones. to me its more fun.

they are not a set. you put the small fin on the front and the bigger fin in the back. its to help beginers out.
