So last weekend a friend of mine was on my boat and he went to get his cell phone (iphone) and his aerosol can sprayed on the cover and destroyed it. I thought wow we spray that in our boats and on bodies. Fast forward to today.

I just finished talking to a boat upholstery expert that has been in this industry for 20+ years and we were just talking about protecting the seats and he mentioned the aerosol can sun block and said it was the worst for upholstery. That is all it took to ban it from my boat.

Yeah, its been discussed quite a bit here. It burns little pits in vinyl and gel coat as well. Never hurts to hear again though.

Insect repellent is similar. It has to dry on the skin first. Spray off of the boat and downwind.

I pointed this out 2 years ago..It messed mine up. I like the fact that it is easy to put on and the kids are easy to deal with, but I spray them down before I get on the boat.

I have stains on our brock deck from suntan spray. Two years later, we still have the outlines of my niece's feet on the plastic deck.

I think one of my friends might of over sprayed some sun screen on my black gelcoat. Looks like little pits, is their any way to fix this?
