Has anyone added another set of brakes to their trailer? I have one set now but want to put some on the back axel. I have got the rotor kits, etc on their way from the manufacturer (UFP) but they said they can’t help with the brake line stuff. I have emailed “BoatMate” (Trailer Manufacturer) for help but haven’t heard back. All I need to do is bolt up the new set of brakes and then connect into the brake line some how. That’s where I don’t know what to do.

Do I need metal line just to go back 3 feet to the back brakes or can I just use the flexible rubber line and tee off the front ones?

DOT approved flexible rubber line is fine. Add a tee at or around the other tee, or at the coupler on the frame if you have one. You should have one on the axle too. I would route it back out and up to the frame again, and then back down to the rear axle.

Use a steel tee, not brass.
