I use a bike rack similiar to this model from Home Depot. I have three of them about 2 feet apart going up a section of my garage wall. I store 2 boards per rack (if one does not have bindings, ie wakeskate, wakesurfer, old board)and they work great. Very cheap and they fold up when not in use and were simple to install. I looked at going the custom route but they seemed more expensive and a lot more work to get there.
