those are some runs!! Very nice.. Indy front to revert? Front roll or fip? either very tricky front or a scarecrow right?

where do you guys go to learn what these tricks look like. When i watch videos all i see are swirlys and flippys and spinnys.

A-dub,

Colin and I love doing Indy front rolls to revert. Its actually pretty easy, a little scarey the first time. Once you decide to go to switch pull the handle accross your chest, it'll feel like your going to just hook your ts edge but it never seems to happen, yet anyway.

The winning run at Nat's last year for Outlaw was

Nuclear Tantrum
Batwing
Backside 3
Frontside Nose Grabbed 5
Tootsie Roll
Nose grabbe roll to revert
Melon Cab roll
Toeside 5
Indy Frontroll
911

I cant remember the exact order he threw it in though.

day-um!!! why isn't colin ryan a household name?!?!?! surely he's got more than one mobe!

either way....nice runs from two guys who ride together......
Old     (andy_nintzel)      Join Date: Sep 2004 Location: Minnesnowda       05-01-2008, 11:50 AM Reply
Colin, got more mobes. He should be a household name, that kid trows down like no body I know. Hammer after Hammer. He just refuses to live in FL, he goes there a bunch during the winter, but he will not make the move. I am pushing him to get more publicity, this will be his year, with Ryan Taylor taking photos like made!

Andy - What does Colin do for a living?
Old     (andy_nintzel)      Join Date: Sep 2004 Location: Minnesnowda       05-01-2008, 12:00 PM Reply
He's a RN (registered nurse). works 12hr shifts so he has lots of time to ride.
Old     (eas)      Join Date: Nov 2001       05-01-2008, 12:34 PM Reply
uhh....looks like both of those guys could've owned last year's nationals!

but Andy, I still think you meant HS front FLIP to revert....not front roll....right? We've all heard the "no such thing" argument.

Anyway...Colin should def be riding for more than the state pride of Minnesota! Don't get me wrong....reppin' your home is cool, but dude....don't deprive the rest of us from being inspired by watching you kill it in the lime light!

wow those are gnarly passes, that is the reason i stick to expert.. its funny the huge difference beweeen the two classes. good luck guys
Old     (deltawake)      Join Date: Sep 2004       05-01-2008, 12:58 PM Reply
I can assure that those passes were not thrown at INT Nationals. Either one would have won the pro division. INT outlaw allows only 5 tricks per pass- not 6 or 7.
Old     (andy_nintzel)      Join Date: Sep 2004 Location: Minnesnowda       05-01-2008, 1:25 PM Reply
they are not from INTs local grass root comps, we kinda stay away from INT in MN, its gotta pretty lame here the last few years.

Eric I am talking Toeside here. TS Front Roll to Revert, is like a scarecrow, but if you grab with your back hand it makes it a bit different looking and a bit harder.

YA peter i was there too and none of this went down in the outlaw class, i rode in it so i would have a pretty good idea of what went down.

Damn Nintzel. You and your boys ever come to Sac hook me up I'd pay to see that pas behind my boat. Better yet I'll be in Monny next summer 4 hours north of St Paul at Big Boy Lake. I'll come to your lake. lol

Not sure about last year, but in 06 the outlaw winner (Steven Cahail) had 2 mobes in his run.
Old    K.B.C.            05-01-2008, 5:32 PM Reply
so, indy scarecrow then... geeesh that description was confusing, it made my head hurt
Old     (dlwsrider)      Join Date: Apr 2007       05-01-2008, 7:20 PM Reply
Last year's had no mobes, but he did have a 911, a Tootsie roll, and I believe he threw an off 5.

He had 15,000 point run

He went out the night after his first run at Nat's on some local lake and stomped a Dum-Dum first try.... weird.

"ts batwing to blind 3 "

Haha - you mean a ts bs off 3? I've never seen anyone do a batwing to blind 3 but I've seen many ts bs indy off 3's. :-)
Old     (dlwsrider)      Join Date: Apr 2007       05-02-2008, 11:40 PM Reply
I have seen people fully extend the batwing, and then spin the Backside 360 while getting back on axis.

Rare, but i've seen it.
Old    gotwake123            05-03-2008, 6:31 AM Reply
I got 4th at nationals and here is my run

hs indy 180
ts batwing
hs nose grab 3
switch oa 180 w/ melon
indy tantrum
scarecrow

switch hs oa 5
ts oa 5
hs oa 5
ts frontroll
hs bs 330 w/ late melon
fall
Old     (bbr)      Join Date: Apr 2002       05-03-2008, 7:44 AM Reply
Stephen, you wouldn't be able to do those oa 5's anymore.....according to the new rules, that puts the score over 1350. So they won't even count it. Lame if you ask me.
Old    gotwake123            05-03-2008, 3:28 PM Reply
I dont think so have you looked at the 08rules because that sounds so gay.it is outlaw you should be able to do anything you want in that division.

Close Caleb, haha I got first last year with a pretty simple run

Hs Indy glide
Ts Nuke Glide
bs 3 late melon
Melon Crow
Switch melon crow

second pass
Hs nose off 5
Ts nose 5
melon cab roll
nuke tatrum
tootsie roll

that was my safe run for the first day but it won it, I went out and tried to step it up my second run but fell

Not to nit pick, but I'm really confused.

Stephen- how can you go from a switch heelside 5 to a toeside 5?

Clay- how can you go from a toeside 5 to a cab roll?

all of these would be from the same side, correct? If they aren't in order that explains it, I just figured it was trick for trick.
