We went out to the lake yesterday and our boat would not start because our battery was dead. Our boat is almost new, we've had it for four months. We had taken it out every weekend since we got it except for the past three weeks because we were on vacation. Shouldn't a brand new boat start after sitting for only three weeks? Does anyone have any idea what might have caused this? By the way thanks to the people at Oroville whom gave us a jump and the people who gave us a tow; as well as, The Bidwell Marina.

we have a tricle charger for our boat it slowly fills it up, but the battery is never really below 70% so we just keepin it pluged in whenever its at home, just so that we dont get caught with a dead

funny you should say this. My boat did the same thing. turns out (in my case) the radio was pulling more than it should when off (to hold the presets and clock and stuff). It would be find for a week or so, but more than two and the battery was quite low. my problem went away when I swapped out the radio. hopefully your problem will be as easy.

Charlie, I will have to check that out we were wondering if something could be draining it when it was off. We checked all the pumps and Depth Finder to see if they were on because they will come on even if the key isn't. They were all off, but I didn't think about the radio draining power when it's off.
