Sac State has a wakeboard team that rides behind a brand new super air natique 210 3 days a week (M,W,F) from 9-3 during the semester. They have a driver so all they have to do is show up at the dock and get on and ride and can take off whenever. They also have meetings on thursday nights and do group activities and weekend trips. Check it out at http://www.sacstateaquaticcenter.com/Body_wakeboardteam.asp but some of the information is old.

Chico state has a really good club right now and they have a web site.

cal poly's club is called "CCAW" central coast assosiation of wakeboarders and I know they have a facebook.
hope this helps.

ucsb has had a waterski team for a number of years and their is a wakeboard community there, but getting out to the lakes to ride is another issue. often they have to travel up to 4 hours for a set. Cal poly and cuesta has a strong influence with the club CCAW since they were booted from their main campus years back. Your most plentiful riding schools on the west coast will be the state colleges, like travis from chico posted (my alumni), sac also has their own aquatic center and a team, long beach has access to water less than a mile from campus and are in the water 3-4 days a week. As for your UC schools you will find a team or a club at most of them, but the teams will mostly be waterski and wakeboard clubs might not have a boat. Don't lose hope, find the guy whose parents let him stow the boat at school and get your pulls in. If your school doesn't have a team start one, that's what i did... Good luck.
