I am adding a second battery to the boat and decided to go with the Stinger relay vs. the Perko switches. I have a 4 channel amp pushing 75 watt rms and a mono amp pushing about 400 watts.
Which Stinger relay would I need? the SR200 or the SR80

Also, what gauge wire do I use off the batteries?
Is there anything else I need beside the wire and relay?

SR200. I would run 4 gauge to a distribution. You will also need some ring terminals for the relay and battery.

The bigger relay will carry the current to start the boat should the main battery fail. I found Kragen had a decent deal on the ring terminals when I was in a pinch. I buy top quality wire by the 100+ foot spool. Over the long run it is much cheaper, but then again it always seems like I am doing a project of some kind. Every connection gets soldered and heat shrunk.

Aw, man! I came in here expecting to see some carnage. I thought someone was asking which bass boat had a better wake. Doesn't Stinger sound like a bass boat company?

I have a fairly small system ... what would happen if I went with the sr80?
