I just put my 2002 Mastercraft x10 in the water last weekend and was out for 2 hours, when I pulled up to the dock to load on the trailer the check engine light came on and started beeping and the temp gauge was reading high. Just wondering where to start for trouble shooting. I also have what I would consider a more than normal water leak off from the front of the engine where the fan would be. I think there is a impeller in the housing but I don't know for sure. I appreciate any and all suggestions. Thanks Ken

Impeller. Even if it looks like its in good shape they can lose their rigidity which will cause the engine to overheat, especially in idle or slow moving situations.

Could be that J hose thing, MC had a recall on some hoses from some years, don't remember exactly which though. Is the hose leaking?

Also check the trans cooler, it may be blocked with debris.

Couldn't find the Wakeworld thread. I know it's there somewhere but Search sucks, Google does a better job of searching anyway, so here ya go have a look at that and see if that's your problem.
