Is there an issue with boards contacting each other as far as fins go in the the double wakesurf racks?

This doesn't really answer your question, but I just bought an Endless Wave surf rack for the top of my tower, and it is frickin AWESOME! You can load up to three boards, you don't lose your side racks and they look cool! Most importantly, if you have any nice (aka expensive) surf boards, you don't have to worry about them getting bounced around or dinged up in side racks. Well worth the incremental difference in price IMHO.

I've got the dbot5 double surf rack, and just have to alternate the direction the boards are sitting, and basically the kick-pad of each board protects the other.

Dan, how many times have you been out with the Endless Wave rack? I'm looking to another rack and am considering the EW, but am worried it won't be as easy to access with it on top of the tower. To quote wake9's review, "you have to be a monkey to get the boards down" (or something to that effect)

Scott,
It's easy on my tower because it's not very tall and sweeps back pretty far. I even had to get the 8" extensions as my speakers are mounted on top of the tower. Standing on the gunnel I have no problem getting the boards on or off. I'll try to get some pictures this weekend and post em up.

I've been out three or four times and it's been great. I've been watching the boards in the rack every time we've been out and it's rock solid. Love it!

I love our Endless Rack, but its definitely not the convenience of a swivel in rack. For long days on the lake, and you want the boards out of the way, or bigger boards, its perfect. And sturdy.

I wished they worked for the Centurion towers.

Why wouldn't it work?

Here is a better shot of what Scott is talking about. I have the illusion and with the Bimini up with the extension no go on the endless rack

I have two Endless Wake racks. LOVE them for the thicker surf style boards. They also protect the boards afrom any pressure dings that may happen due to the boards being in a side rack. As far as having to be a monkey to get them down, maybe if your 5' tall, but it's no problem for a normal size person.

Does the rope ever get caught on the Endless Wave racks? We do more then surf. It seems like when you cut out hard, the rope would get caught on the rack.

I'm also looking to buy a surf board rack. Ran accross these while doing a search. Anyone use them before?
Seems like the best price around and I got a promo code for 20% off.
