Is the Landlock too long of a board to get air off the top of the wake? I'm 6'2" - 195lbs. Any suggestions for a board with more potential?

Hi Gary,

The Landlock is a slow "cadillac" of a board. You might be able to ride tandem with your small child or small wife/girlfriend, but any significant amount of air is not going to happen on the wake behind a boat.

With your height/weight, you'll probably want to look at some of the following:

Inland Surfer Blue Lake (or Yellow Loogey but with your height/stance it might feel a little short)
Walker Project 5.0 Comp
Shred Stixx Pirahna (or Thresher if you are ambitious)
Placebo
Walzer Alpha LG

I'm sure you'll get some more detailed suggestions/opinions from the forum, but this will get you started as you begin your search for the right board for you. You can find a bunch of these boards along with reviews at www.wakeoutlaws.com

Hey gary

the landlock is a slow moving beginer board
that i dont think was made for any kind of airs
the board you want to get just really depends on you weight and skill. I have the shred stixx thresher shredder and i weigh about 170 to 180 and it rides just fine also big air potential. But there is also the ja mako board that is made for bigger riders.
