Ok some I'm going to parker in June and I'm staying at the Blue Water Resort. I've never been to Parker before, I was wondering where are the best places to ride, eat, and get gas on the river? Any ideas? Thanks!

Well it's a river and its a river with a ton of people on it. So the question is more when do I ride versus where to ride. The where is pretty simple, the river, up it, then down it, and then repeat. The when is 5am that way you can get 2-3 hrs of decent water. For on the water dining(drinking) check Badenoch's or Roadrunner. if you are in Parker which is like 4 minutes from Bluewater go to Rupertos, they have the best machaca ever. If you want gas(&a hangover eat at Roadrunner and have a Roadraper). As for petrol, don't even mess with it on the river, it is more than worth it to pull out and go fill up in town. Last piece of advice, do not mess with Chief Tumbling Dice, he always wins and Maristars DO fit on Black...

hey man i have a house there so i ride there a lot. to be honest the best place to ride was right in front of where the casino is now, well since that is gone you really have to charge it early, especially on weekends. however, if you are looking for good water mid week, you should check out the river north of Sundance (an old bar) and Big Bend. THis part of the river moves faster and zig zags more (it also has large cliffs on the sides) all this plus the fact that most of the inhabitants on this part of the river are weekenders all equals decent water mid week if the wind kicks up or it is busy on the southern part of the river. It is only like a 10 minute boat ride. you also avoid idiots in there 40' scarabs running 90 mph from the bars to the sandbar. As far as eating you ahould eat at the casino or Badenochs. If you want to drink Roadrunner is cool but DO NOT eat there, they mix the cockroaches with the carne asada. Gas is expensive on the river and there are only three places to get it, they only pump 91 and you may have to empty your account for 1 fill. I would recommend pulling out and getting gas in town or bringing gas cans and filling them in town. the gas pumps are less than 5 minutes from the casino and gas is less expensive in Arizona anyway. I drive about 20 minutes from my house into town to fill up cans, sometimes once a day. Last but not least, let me know the dates when you will be riding. I will be at my house from June 10-20 and I am always looking for people to ride and party with.

that's cool you are avoiding the weekends and most schools in so cal are not out of school yet, as long as the wind stays down you should get some nice riding in

Nick where's your place? My dad just sold his, we were on the AZ side at Buckskin Park right by Rock Island. Like you said thats where all the killer riding is early. We'd head north to the dam and then back south to Big Bend and turnaround, careful to not wake up the wallies.
