I have an agressive fast paced cut that puts me out into the flats. I use to ride a 03' Era with the high backs. Recently i bought an 07' 138 covin. I really dont like the fact that its not as loose on the water. I like my brothers one deck but dont wannt ride the same model....any suggestions?

or you could try the shane, but it's gonna feel super fast compared to the era.

both the vandal and lyman have an "aggressive edge to the flats" so you could try one of their boards.

ok, if that's how you're basing your board decision, no one help you. any board you get you'll be copying someone.

true i guess i shouldnt trip over that....its probly the best board ive ever ridden. i was just thinking itd be a waste buying the same model if we ride behind the same boat

it'd be a waste if you bought a board you didn't like as much as the one.

[btw that was my brother posting up there] I think he's looking for something non ronix. he's picky and stubborn though I told him to look at the shane based on umali's suggestion.
thanks,
trevor.

After seeing this commercial he wants this one:

you could get a different board for different feel/ fun

like:
wake surf board
wake skate
roam, or R5 or covenant
slingshot or lf press or obrien local

I told him to try to demo the fish from LF cause it has the round variable edge and a continuous rocker.

You can also look at the LF Trip..continuous rocker and its a fun board..take out the fins and its a loose board.

If you just don't like that the Covin isn't loose enough on the water, try riding it finless. You could also try just grinding down the fins you have or grabbing some smaller ones (I heard you can use P or A wings from Hyperlite.. not sure which ones). I'm not sure if you've already tried those things or not, but I'd definitely try them before dropping that kind of cash again for another new board.
