Well, I finished the boat last Saturday and with the exception of a finicky sub, it should be all set for summer!
I bought the Sanger a little over a year ago and am really happy with what is has to offer. While small, it's paid for and throws a decent wake for my level of riding. So rather than get something new, I took the money and dialed it in. With 320 hours, and a crew rarely more than four, I figure it will around for a while.
Since December:
Rhinolined the swimstep
New Glass w/ Tint
Hot/cold shower
Wetsand the gelcoat
Fresh Air Exhaust
Pioneer 6900 for the Ipod/Zune
Wired Remote front and back
Gator Grip on Transom (not much but it helps!)
Keel Guard
Trailer Overhaul
Thanks to Hurliman Boats for all their work and advice as well as everyone on WW!

Looks great how was the gelcoat before you wetsanded. It looks like its right off the show room floor.

You would think that the boat had been repainted in those pics. Anything more of the rhino lined swim platfrom?

Thanks! The lined platform is perfect. The guy claims to have mixed it a little softer than they use in trucks so it's easy on the knees. The gel was decent but clouded over and heavily scratched on the bow. I was blown away with how it came out.

PLEASE!! That is a great job w/ the entire thing! would love it if you would come by and help me out!!! been working on most of those same projects myself but is taking much longer due to college tuition for the kid and a lack of freinds that are into boats-all my buds are into motorcycles! if you could list the steps/products you used refinishing that would be great!

Since he mixed the platform softer, does that mean no more kneepads?

Wow thanks everyone! I'll have to search for some before pics but my PC crashed last fall so most are lost. Hurliman Boats in Penryn has all the answers to the gelcoat. Truthfully, I buffed it out after they were done wetsanding. It was something I wanted done right the first time. I polished and polished last year but could never get the cloud and scratches out. They had it done in a day.
For the finishing, I go over with their mix called Longevity and end with 303. That stuff is the sh-t.
Jimmy - Rather than invest in a louder stereo, the FAE quiets the exhaust. Tomorrow will be my first time using it. Can't wait!

Great job!!! Man you got that thing dialed in...I need to contact those guys at Hurliman Boats. Do you mind me asking how much it cost? Same boat except red and white.

Where did you get the swim platform done at and how much?
Thanks

She is all pretty Fat Sac...looking good. So when are we low riding in it? Looks like a whole different boat. Nice work!

Anytime Justin... but uhhh... I'm down to head out in the Malibu too.

Vince - Give them a call. I know he's more competitive in the winter and room in their shop is tough to come by. The place is basically a modified barn. Well worth it though.

D.C. - Line-X in Rancho Cordova.

I missed the first profile picture. Post up a before, that way we can see how far she has come. The gelcoat looks new from what I can see. Congrats on a clean boat, enjoy the summer.
