Seems i have to replace one of these every year. now and then water gets over the back while surfing, and splashes into the engine compartment. The bearings get wet and after this happens all year I begin to see a little rust dust come from the sealed bearing, so I imediatley change it. I had one of these break all the way off once, so you can see why I am paranoid. Does anyone else have this problem with there Mercruiser engine? I believe its just a car application idler pully. You think they would make a marine application pully. jdjjamesI know you must have taken water a few times LOL has this been a problem for you?

Ya, I always try to do that too, but it doesnt always happen. I have to store my boat outside during the summer. I wonder if I spray it some kind of lube, that might extend the life.
