Ok, so I have surfed several times now with my friends and now I am looking at getting my own board.... the one I rode was a white Liquid Force Custom 4'10" and a broadcast 5'6" I really liked the liquid force one but I dont want to spend that much.

Right now I can surf the wave w/o the rope carving and pumping and 360s with the rope (havent tried without) I am 6'2" and about 200lbs.

This is what I am thinking of buying: (please let me know what you think)

or would I be able to ride this with no grip or fins.......

I would guess that the Walker board is far and away the best of the bunch.

If you really liked that Liquid Force 4'10" that you rode, I have one that has been in the water twice now, I'll sell for $300.

PM or call me,
Derek

Simon,

The Walker 5.0 is a large board. I have one of those and my bother in law is 6'2 and 290 and rides it ropeless all day long. I would not say it is too small at all. Might even be a bit big.

Once you start to progress. You will start wanting smaller boards. It would be a great choice as it is fast and easy to ride and even if you step up to a smaller one later. It is a good all around board for the boat.

I have a Walker Bullet and also a Walker Comp 4.5. https://generalstore.wakeoutlaws.com/itemdetail.php?item_id=IH1176604592I46218fb0e2c96

My wife rides the Comp 4.5. The Bullet takes some learning curve and I actually am riding her 4.5 better right now. But I know with more time, the Bullet is crazy fast and has the ability for airs more than the others.

I am 220. And really like the smaller 4.5.

I have been very happy with the Walker boards. I have riden them all and the walkers are my favs right now.

Yeah, I second that. 5' on a good buoyant board is big, you won't have a problem riding that.

Hey Simon! Good luck! The ones on ebay I have seen before. Interesting that some even claim to be exact knockoffs of much more expensive boards. No comment, just interesting. And cheap. Go to their store, they have a whole category of wakesurfers.

With that said the Walker has by far the best reputation. Maybe you had better post a pic of your surf wake so we know how your SS is treatin ya?

Simon,

Here are some pics of the Walkers. I finally got around to taking them!! Need to start another post to show them off.

Walker Comp 4.5 we call the "pink taco"
Walker Comp 5.0 we call "goldberg"
Walker Bullet we call "El Diablo"

Huge thanks to Ken and Todd at wakeoutlaws. They really came thru on the graphics. They come with a traction kit so you can do your own design etc..
