You college kids should just hold off a week and go to the Central Coast Association of Wakeboarders' event - Graduwaketion. Its a much better event and is more about fun and riding with people from all across the country than being ranked by a waterski organization. Plus the event is much more organized...mark my word.

Dang Heavy, thats some mud you're slingin. Why are they having Nationals in the Spring? Seems pretty stupid. Are they crowning multiple National Champions a year now? Sillyness

They typically have had the nationals during spring break time, and I went to the one when it was in Panama City, and had a blast. Just like any collegiate wakeboard/waterski tournament, they are a really fun time. Jeff Surdej can back me up on this for sure.

The nationals I went to were typically in the Fall. Just seems dumb to me. Let everyone get some riding time under their belt before having a "Nationals", so just have a Spring Break Fiesta Ride. Not only are the FLA and West Coast teams stacked, they also have three times more riding in for the year than other "Nationals" attendees. It is USA WaterSki, who has great history organizing wake events

there typically IS another one in the fall. The reason that the fall one isn't as easy to plan, is simply put Football season. As silly as that sounds, many wakeboarders enjoy the social events surrounding football weekends.

Yep, totally understand. i may have gone tailgating, ran over and rode, and made it back before the first quarter was over. It was a great day.

Big Heavy~ If I had the money I would totally go to that one too. I'm only able to go to this one because were getting a ton of funding for it.

Heavy - where did you guys market your event? I think if some of these colleges see you have a successful event for a couple of years, you might start seeing them coming out your way.

Thomas, it was marketed on WW, in Alliance and through direct contact with the schools & their reps. Here's the current list of schools coming. In addition to folks from Alliance and a few pros. Barrett, you better come out. Its not likely you forgot your CCAW friends. Plus thats your school down there. Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo (CCAW) UCSB Long Beach State Sacramento State USC Chico State Arizona State Cuesta College, San Luis Obispo Rollins College, Florida Western Washington University http://www.ccawakeboarders.com/graduwaketion/ http://www.ccawakeboarders.com/graduwaketion/
