I love AWS, but its a lame drive when you get stuck in traffic going down there.

and you dont mind waiting for gear? dont get me wrong....I like AWS but it would be nice to get some instant gratification! :] not waiting for gear, somewhere local that you could go and get the same stuff. Is there anything like that in the 'couv????? ANYONE????

true, no sales tax in OR. if you are driving to AWS or some other place in OR to buy your gear to save sales tax are you really saving $$....time, gas, etc all cost $$...does it make a difference? when Joe's was open, did you buy stuff there?

Joes had stuff... but if you had any questions there was no one really there that could help you. AWS is rad cause they sell everything and their staff knows everything about all the gear they sell. Kinda far from the couve, but at least you will get the best stuff!

But... AWS guys are second to none as far as knowledge, dedication to the sport, and there customer service.

Could be worse, you could live in Salem and have to travel 60 minutes to get to AWS :-(

Or Yakima! 3.5 hours to aws. 2.5 to Wileys. Those are pretty much the best of the closest options.
