I searched the board, but couldn't find much on towing with the 2006 or newer Explorers V8s. Right now I am towing my X1 with a 96 2DR Tahoe rated at 5,500lbs. The V8 Explorers are rated just above 7,100lbs. Is anyone towing with the newer Exporers? Do you think it will tow better than my current rig? My other options would be going with a newer Tahoe, but they are only rated about 1,000lbs more, and generally are more expensive.
