Lake near Chicago

Anyone know of a decent lake just south of Chicago that would work well for a test drive?

Your best bet is probably Cedar Lake in Indiana. It's just over the IL/IN border.

You don't need to 'know the water' like some of the local rivers and it's pretty good size to get out and stretch the legs of the perspective purchase.
