I'm still not getting the pop I want, and I'm still a little confused. I understand the progressive edge. I also understand the basic idea of standing tall. What I don't understand is if you stand tall at the wake, how do you not lose your edge?

This a very common question among beginners. It comes with lots of practice. Try to focus on edging all the way up the wake and don't back off your cut as you approach the wake. Your weight should still be on your heelside edge when you stand tall. It's possible, just keep practicing.

think of pushing the board deeper into the water by straightening your legs as opposed to standing tall on top of the water. That helps me.
