I've got a small issue where the stereo has suddenly started powering it self up even though the main ignition switch is off. I assumed it was the head unit but I have replaced it and the new head unit does it too. So though maybe it is the power switch in the dash but it seems to do it even when that is disconnected. Is it possible that I am getting a back feed out of one of the amps?

Why rewire the stereo? Its worked great for 4 years and now is giving this issue, do you think it is wiring rather than an equipment problem?

Because you said you already replaced the equipment. Something has changed in your boat causing it.

Can you force it to happen? Unhook one of the amps & see if it continues.
