Yes it is.

If you can get ahold of a decent engine (351W Ford or the like), and a Borg-Warner Transmission (I think these had like a 1:1.23) and can get that for like 1k, you'll be in business, but it'll be a lot of work. Make sure the floor is rock solid everywhere and check that the stringers aren't rotten by turning the bolts on the engine mounts. If they turn freely, you'll have to re-do the floors and stringers as well (no easy task).

However, the hull itself is likely worth the 1k.

You can just about guarantee that thing needs everything but a hull. So I would think about 5 to 600 would be it. Think about it: 2k for stringers, 2500 to 3500 for engine and transmission, new interior 800.00, new decals 200.00, rework trailer 400.00. You are gonna have a lot of work and a lot of money in that boat.

Come on, Erik, if you're going to edit a message, at least use some meaningful dates:

July 4th, 1776,
June 15th, 1215,
February 3rd, 1959.

Those are some meaningful dates :-)

Matt C,

The interior (the seats) actually looked to be in pretty good shape from what I could see. If I though they could fit in my 1981, I'd take them off someone's hands really quickly for 400! :-)

In fact, if I knew the floor were solid, I'd be tempted to buy it myself. The exterior looks like it's in good shape as well. It really just looks like it needs a new engine and transmission, as well as a floor redo. Thousands, yes, but likely less than a restored 2001 goes for these days (sigh).

Sorry I will change me settings. I am still trying to get the supersport set up. I got my tower installed and boardracks. Been trying to get the stereo wired up and waiting on a few pieces of vinyl that need to be replaced. I should be done in a few weeks. I have been working on a big tat on my side so I dont want to get in the water till it heals all the way. I got a about 4 more hours to get it finished this friday. By the time I get all the parts I should be ready to go. I got a buddy that has been riding once a week on lake tyler. Hes got an 06 220 Super Air. I am jonesing to get the new boat in the water though so as soon as I can I want to ride.

Next wednesday I am going to CO for some snowboarding to hold me off for a another few weeks also.
