Well everyone else has asked, so after reading tons of other threads I am still confused and need help. Any advice would be appreciated. Here is what I have:

1. Tower speakers: 2 titan alpha I (not sure what is in them, i bought the boat used) Someday I may add 2 more or upgrade
2. Sub: JL 10W3v2 D4
3. Amplifiers: 2 Arc Audio KAR400.4
4. 6 Stock Boat Speakers

I realize this is not enough to hear while riding but I want a little more than what I have.

My questions are

1. How do I wire up the amps? Do I need a power distribution block or is just off the battery ok for each of them. (They are about 8 feet from the battery)
2. I figure Amp1 - 2 channels bridged to the amp, 2 channels to mid boat speakers, Amp 2 - 2 channels to tower speakers, 2 channels to rear boat speakers. Run the front speakers off the head unit. Does this sound right?
3. I have no idea what the hell 2 ohms vs 4 ohms mean (nor do I want to become an expert)
4. I would like to add an equalizer to have more control. How do I wire the equalizer?

Any diagrams or helpful links would help. Thanks.

You have 8 channels.

Amp 1-

Front (L/R) Run front Speakers
Rear (L/R) Run Mid and rear speakers together.

Amp 2-

Front (L/R) Run th two tower speakers
Rear(bridged) Run to sub
