yo kaerch...I piced up our X9 a two months ago..So far I love it...the thing is very wide as you know it is a wide boat with lots of room...only drawback is getting it in the garage....when the tower folds down you need like 73" in height to get it in the garage..the tower is my complaint just the way it folds leaves alot to be desired...mastercraft should look at C.C.'s flight controls....otherwise no regrets love the thing...what options did you get

I would say go with red. Hard to go wrong with a red boat. Congrats on the new purchase! Post some pics when you get it so we can all check it out.

Congratulations!!!! I've been an X9 owner since 2001, and have no complaints, even with the 310hp engine. One of the main reasons why we chose the X9 was for its dual purpose ski/wakeboard functionality - at the time - and storage. Times have changed a bit, and now we all just wakeboard....and tube!! BTW, the 310hp holds it own (plus a change in prop size and pitch). Even while carrying ten adults, the boat has no problem getting my 210lb brother-in-law up on his board. Anyways, I don't think I've ever seen a yellow X9, except in the showroom. Congratulations, again!!

I would say go all black or go all red. Although, I have seen a MC that was all blue and it looked sweet as hell too.

Hey X9 owners...I have an 01 X9 and have a prop Q for you...what diameter x pitch and make are you guys running? I have the 310hp and the boat came w/ a 13x14 OJ. I dinged it and got a 13x13 OJ. Not impressed w/ either when sacked down with 1500#. Last weekend i saw an X9 with a 12.5x14 and another with a 14x14. What props are being ran out there and how are you using ur boats...and how are you weighting them?

Bent my original prop (OJ 13x13 4blade) last year. After some research and reading alot of peoples opinions on aftermarket props, I went with an Acme 13x12.5 4blade nibral(#209). I ordered from http://www.propellersonline.com. As far as performance, I get a better holeshot, but lose, maybe, 1mph on the top end - not a big deal. Normally weighted with just the stock ballast. When there's only three of us, we add two FatBuddies on either side of the engine, 500#. Considered replacing the FatBuddies with two FatSacks, or 1000#, but the wake suits us fine for now.

Ral- What rpm is ur X9 at wide open throttle? Also, whats the relative mph at that rpm? With the 13x13 oj, my WOT is 4200rpm and maxes at 37-ish mph. Anyone know what the max rated WOT is for the '01 310hp X9?

The max allowable rpm at WOT is 4200-5000rpm. Well, it's been awhile since I've opened her up, but rpm at WOT was around 4300-4400rpm with current prop. Since condiitions were ideal, my baby was cruising at 42mph(on both speedos; sorry no PP or GPS). Even with the OEM prop, top speed was 42-43mph.

The acme props are the way to go. I changed to acme on my 02 X-Star with the 310. It had more torque than the LTR 330 at the time. I don't know the 350 but I'll have my new 05 X2 in a couple days. First on the list to do after breakin is put a new acme on. Even with the new revolution from OJ the acme still outperforms.

Jude- You have a 12.5x21 prop on ur X9? Did it come new that way? I dont understand why this boat seems to get shipped with sooo many different props. How much weight are you running? Whats ur WOT and what speed?
