Hi,

Does anybody know an orderable part number for the high pressure fuel pump on the right? This is a 2001 Supra (Indmar) TBI engine. The fuel pump has markings 344 2790A, but searches don't turn up anything. I'm assuming it's a Sierra pump since it looks like other Sierra pumps, but I haven't found one with the same inlets and outlets.

Thanks.

It's a different one than MC (MC Dealer) but I'm pretty sure its 495126. We don't stock this part otherwise I could get you a better photo.

Corey, thanks a lot! That's what I needed. I even found instructions on how to replace it.

Does anybody have a feel for how fragile these pumps are when run dry for a little while? My boat had been exhibiting vapor lock behavior, but it completely died the other day. I cranked the heck out of the engine thinking it would start back up like it had in the past. Later I measured the fuel pressure at the fuel rail at 10PSI going down to 0 as the pump runs. I ordered a new low pressure pump hoping that's the problem since it wouldn't pump fuel out. If that really was the problem I'm wondering if the more expensive HP pump is likely damaged.

Hi, what is the fuel pressure supposed to be on a 2001 Supra Indmar 5.7L TBI? I'm reading 10psi while trying to start and 15 psi if I run the fuel pumps without cranking the engine.

495126 is the correct pump kit for that engine. The fuel pressure for a TBI engine is 28-33 psi.

Thanks for the help!
