I have a Bayliner 2050 with the twin back to back seats that found down into bunks. I am thinking about pulling out the passenger one and modifying the boat to have a reward facing observers seat more along the lines of a inboard. I hope to gain a lot more storage and also make the boat space more ergonomic.

I know this will take a bit of modification and fibre glassing but I think it will be worth it.

Does anybody have photos/ideas on the best way to have the observers seat folding up? Is it best to have the complete seat fold up as one or just the back?

I know there have been comments on the clam shell design, any reasons for this.

Thoughts appreciated thanks.
