I have a buddy that has a 40' sport fisherman that throws a massive wake. Anyone heard of this? Is it safe? I'd hate to try it and get sucked into those huge props under the boat.

I've heard that propellers don't suck water to push a boat forward. I guess they push water.

should be OK as long as there isnt a outdrive. No possible way to get sucked under the transom with a direct drive/v-drive

I have a buddy that has a 28' Anderson fishing boat that he Surfs behind in the Santa Barbara harbor area from time to time. It has an Cummins inboard, and throws a pretty huge wave. I'll see if he has any pictures of surfing behind it.
