San Mateo/Foster City Lagoon

I just moved to Redwood City, work in San Mateo. Ive heard rumors that people wakeboard/ski in the san mateo/ foster city lagoon? Does anyone know if this is true or legal. How do you get on or launch. If anyone rides there id like to tag along this summer sometime.

Geoff: Im sorry I lost his e-mail mabey he will chime in but theres a few guys that ride out there that Visit W/W. One guy with a SAN and another with a MC. Most every one out there knows each other

Grant. The Lagoon has been closed indefinitely due to high bacteria content. Two people have already been hospitalized and the EPA has been sent to investigate.

BTW:
Give me a call If you need a custom Bio-hazzard wakeboard suite, I used to wear it when I went wakeboarding out there. I had it made when the flesh eating bactieria was running rampid in the lagoon.

Thanks guys, it would suck if its closed, cause its close enough to ride lunch or after work. Its really that bad? What about the swimming beach etc...

With all the bacteria and waste in the water, people are now able to wakeboard at night since they are glowing.

Arun, so that is how you and Mat get so much air, I never noticed how big the waves were.

hmmmmm. I've heard of people riding there as well... I know it is salt water though.
