In the word of my Ex "Yes"......
3 or 4cm's can makes a HUGE! difference in how a boards feels. You should definitely go with the 140. A 134 is for pretty small people or kids.

Yes, size does matter. Don't listen to those that say it doesn't.. they're just being nice.

Adam,
Anybody who tells you it doesn't matter is just trying to be nice and not offend anyone :-)
Now, onto Wakeboards. It definitely does make a difference. As mentioned above, it can make a huge difference in the feel of the board. I think the data on those figures may be incorrect. The max weight should INCREASE with the size of the board. Take a peek back at the chart once... it seems off to me. A larger board in my experience contributed to: bigger pop due to increased surface area off the wake (form is always a factor in that though), a smoother ride when conditions got a bit more rough, and also more firm landings. All of which have contributed in a positive way to my riding. Don't sweat weight as the boards continue to get lighter and lighter. I'm part of the camp that suggests, the bigger the board the better. I would without a doubt go for the 140. I'm 6'1 and ride a 144 Ronix Viva and I won't be going down anywhere past 142 for the rest of my wakeboarding days.
140 FOR SURE.

thats what she said*
but on the real tho it totally matters.
I was riding a 134 at the beginning of last season (im 5'10 ish and 150lbs) and I had to get on a 138 halfway thru the season cuz there just wasnt enough board underneath me.
makes everything alot easier. I was worried about swing weight on spins, but it actually helps cuz it gives you more pop to make up for the extra board that you have to get around.

get your minds out of the gutter people. i guess 140 it is, rode a 140 pure last season and just thought a shorter board would be easier to control in the air.
Rob, Lisa really? Thanks buddy

Adam,
A shorter board MAY feel smaller in the air, but the biggest factor as far as control in the air is weight. A longer board with less weight more than likely will feel more maneuverable in the air. In addition, from experience with riding a 136 for a season in between a 140 and a 143, shorter boards land HARD coming down from bigger airs. I was interested in a smaller board for the exact same reasons you mentioned, but it turned out to have more negatives than positive, at least in my experience.

Length isn't the only dimension.

I really doubt that you would notice any extra swing weight. Unless you are dropping 10's. In which case, just tell your sponsor to send you the right length.

I'm 5'5" and 155-160lbs during the season and I started with a 136, then a 138 now I ride a 140. I like my 140. Feels stable. I was worried it would be two big but I think it rides better. I would go down to a 138 but not sure I would go smaller than that.
